- Selection of size of Die block as per the capacity of the forging Hammer
- The Die design must be in between the size of the shank to avoid any type of cracks
- Die should not be designed on the cutting section
- Degree of Tail Shank should be with proper radius(8R or 10R ) and the radius should be mirror polished to remove micro lines developed during machining on a shaper.
- while installing dies on the hammer, a level of die base should be checked properly.
- Shank keys should not touch the top of the dies and should be in proper degree.
- Change of season should be considered during pre Heating of the Die Blocks.
-Proper Pre-Heating of Die Should be done from Top to Bottom. Raw material, to be forged should be properly pre-heated.
